At the recent AAU Track and Field competition, SUPA TC athletes made an impressive statement, racking up a total of 15 top-10 finishes and 9 medals, showcasing both their talent and determination on a competitive platform. Setting the tone for the team was Emillyon Sherrod, who brought home a gold medal in the 7–8 mini javelin throw. The Borland sisters, Tinsley and Hollins, picked up silver medals in the 400-meter hurdles and 1500 meters, respectively. Not to be outdone, AAU All-American Madison Godfrey received a bronze medal in the 13–14 Girls Shot Put division.
In addition to medal performances, numerous athletes achieved personal records( PRs) across variety of disciplines: Beckham Jacobsen ( PR in the 400 meters), Robert Jacobsen ( PRs in the 400 meters, Javelin, and high jump), Jaxon Jacobsen ( PRs in the 400 meters, 80-meter hurdles, and high jump), Banks Borland ( PRs in the 400 meters, 80-meter hurdles, and high jump), Tinsley Borland( PRs in the 100-meter and 400-meter hurdles), Hollins Borland ( PR in the 1500 meters), Quinn Moran( PRs in the 100 meters and 400 meters), Autumn Farrow ( PRs in the 400 meters and high jump), Madison Godfrey ( PR in the shot put), and Charles Palmer (PRs in the javelin and long jump).
This event showcased not only the medal-winning capabilities of the athletes but also their commitment to improvement and excellence.
