SUPA Track Club Battles Tough Competition and Weather at Ken Roberts Elite Meet!

What a spectacular weekend for our athletes! On Saturday, May 23, the SUPA Track Club lineup headed to the High Point Athletic Complex to face off against the region’s best at the 2026 Ken Roberts Elite Challenge.

Our squad absolutely showed out, bringing home massive individual victories, multiple podium finishes, and incredible personal growth across sprints, distance, and field events. The dedication our athletes show at practice every week is paying off in a huge way.

Here are the major highlights, top finishes, and standout performances from this past weekend’s meet:

🥇 The Gold Medalists & Champions

A special shoutout to our athletes who climbed all the way to the top of the podium to claim 1st place finishes:

  • Amber Brown (Girls 15-16): Absolute dominance on the track! Amber captured 1st place in the 100m dash with a blazing time of 13.23 seconds, and followed it up with a spectacular 3rd place finish in the 200m (27.10).
  • Autumn Farrow (Girls 9-10): A multi-talent powerhouse! Autumn took 1st place in the High Jump, clearing 3-06.00 (1.06m). She wasn’t done there, securing another 1st place crown in the Long Jump with a massive leap of 11-11.00 (3.63m), and capturing 19th in a huge 200m field (33.33).

🥈 Podiums & Top 5 Finishes

Our athletes consistently placed themselves among the elite, fighting hard into the top spots:

Sprints & Hurdles

  • Harleigh Turner (Girls 9-10): Phenomenal speed from Harleigh! She locked down 3rd place in the Long Jump (11-02.50) and proved her elite speed with a scorching 4th place in the 100m (14.37) and 6th place in the 200m (31.79).
  • Greyson Dorest (Boys Under 6): Our youngest superstar represented SUPA perfectly, capturing 3rd place in the 100m (18.56) and 5th place in the 200m (44.68).

Field Events & Throws

  • Madison Godfrey (Girls 15-16): An absolute weapon in the throwing circles! Madison powered her way to 4th place in the Shot Put with a throw of 23-08.00 and secured 6th place in the Discus with a launch of 44-08.
  • Emillyon Sherrod (Boys 9-10): Snagged a fantastic 5th place finish in the Javelin throw with a distance of 47-11.

🔥 Top 10 Finishes & All-Around Gut Checks

Every point matters, and these athletes stepped up against massive, deeply-talented heats:

  • Reed Altenburg (Boys 11-12): Grabbed a strong 6th place finish in the Long Jump (12-05.00), while clocking an impressive 14.98 in the 100m (22nd) and 31.25 in the 200m (29th).
  • Blasian Chambers (Boys 13-14): Battled his way into 8th place in the Long Jump (14-01.00) while holding down excellent times in the 100m (14.34) and 200m (29.09).
  • Mason Godfrey (Boys 9-10): Earned an 8th place finish in the Javelin (37-05), finished 26th in Long Jump (9-03.50), and fought hard in the 100m (16.89).

🏃💨 Grit, Determination, and Hustle

Track meets are all about pushing limits, and these athletes laid down great times against massive fields:

  • Aaliyah Dorsett (Girls 11-12): Handled a packed schedule beautifully, taking 19th in the 100m (14.79), 20th in the 400m (1:16.58), and 26th in the 200m (31.29).
  • Parker Brown (Girls 13-14): Showed amazing range by pushing through a tough 14th place in the 800m (3:08.05), 31st in the 400m (1:15.91), and competing hard in the 100m (16.62).
  • Quinn Moran (Girls 11-12): Put on a gritty display across multiple events, finishing 21st in the Long Jump (7-00.25), 34th in the 400m (1:28.06), and matching pace in the 100m (17.53).
  • Benjamin Sweatman (Boys 9-10): Displayed incredible heart as a true utility athlete, placing 11th in Javelin (25-07), 18th in the 800m (4:10.37), and charging through the 100m (20.29).
