SUPA Track Club kicked off the 2025 outdoor season with an impressive performance at the Titan Track Classic in Inman, South Carolina. The event took place at the Chapman High School track facility and featured clubs from across the Southeast region. SUPA TC athletes made their presence felt in various events, earning numerous personal records and top-place finishes.

Competing for SUPA were:

  • Charlie Palmer (Under 8 Boys – LJ, 100m, 200m)
  • Mia Nelson (15-16 Girls – 100m, 200m)
  • Skylar Johnson (15-16 Girls – 100m, 200m)
  • Madison Godfrey (13-14 Girls – Shot Put)
  • Amber Brown (13-14 Girls – 100m, 200m, LJ)

The day started with the Under 8 Boys Long Jump, where Charlie Palmer showed promise in his first track meet, finishing 11th overall and setting a strong foundation for future competitions. Charlie also ran well in his 100m and 200m races. Coach Brown noticed he had a lot left in the tank on his 200m run, and promises to “let Charlie cook” at his next meet.

Mia Nelson, a newcomer to SUPA TC, had a solid top 8 finish in the competitive 15-16 Girls 100m. Mia is looking forward to a solid week of practice as she continues to work on her mechanics and sprinting form before her next meet.

Amber Brown came in riding a wave a momentum from the indoor season. The recently crowned AAU Indoor All-American wasted no time setting the stage for what she hopes will be a “big outdoor season”. She had a huge PR of 12.96 in the 100m to secure SUPA TC’s first Gold medal of the meet, then cruised to another Gold medal in 13-14 Long Jump with a solid 15’10” mark on her 2nd attempt. In the 13-14 Girls 200m, Amber Brown delivered a stellar performance, pushing hard and achieving a huge personal record (PR) of 26.45 and a well-deserved Silver medal.

Newly-crowned AAU Indoor All-American Madison Godfrey showcased her skills once again in the 13-14 Girls Shot Put, taking home a Bronze medal for her efforts. “Maddie” enjoyed the friendly competition, but knows things will get more fiesty as the season progresses.

Skylar Johnson put forth a great effort in the 15-16 Girls 100m, narrowly missing out on a medal by placing 4th and securing valuable team points for SUPA.

The Titan Track Classic served as a fantastic opener for the 2025 outdoor season, allowing SUPA TC athletes to test their mettle against tough competition. The team demonstrated excellent competitiveness, sportsmanship, and camaraderie throughout the event, setting a positive tone for the rest of the season.

“I’m incredibly proud of our team’s performance today,” said Coach Brown. “Their determination and hard work during the practice week was evident on the track, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they continue to grow and progress.”

SUPA TC’s success at the Titan Track Classic sets the stage for an exciting season ahead. The team will continue to work hard in preparation for their next competition later this month, building upon the momentum they’ve established in South Carolina.
